Your Eyes by Emory S. Ryberg

Baby, be my everything.
Baby, don't abandon me.
Don't be like them;
Don't be my end.

Baby, just close your eyes,
I can no longer bare your lies.
Why can't it just stay
The way you would always say?

Why do you tell me your dreams,
Only to shy away from my screams?
I gave you all I had,
You gave it all back.

You promised to protect me.
How could this be,
With her in your arms?
How can you keep me out of harm's
Way, when you lie keeping her warm?

Baby, just close your eyes.
I can never forget your lies.
You will always look into the night;
The wishing well has turned out the light.
